| Update, because I need too.So this post is because Kim said I needed too. I'm still here in Albania, and will be till I leave for my sister's wedding. She's getting married on 30 May. Then I'll be the summer in PA (mostly), and go to New Personal Orientation with Christar. In August I'll return to Albania for two months to help start up the school year. After that I'll be back in PA doing "support raising and vision casting" aka raising prayer and financial support as I plan to return to Albania to serve long term as and MK teacher in the Fall of 2010. I don't use this much, except to read what y'all are doing, but find me on facebook or via email. God bless, "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot loose" Jim Elliott

| So I've been reading this book on Grace, and it's quite amazing. It's called Overwhelmed by Grace by Kent McQuilkin. I tried to put it under the "currently reading" thing, but it doesn't have it. I tried googling the internet, and I couldn't find it. This is important because if I'm going to recommend something, you should be able to get it. So I went back to the site where my friend got it for me. Here. It's a free download.

| Importance of thinking about God's Word.So I was reading and ran across this quote and thought I'd pass it along.
"If, by this means (the meditation of scripture), thou dost not find an increase of all they graces, and dost not grow beyond the stature of common Christians, and are not made more serviceable in thy place, and more precious in the eyes of all discerning persons; if thy soul enjoy not more communion with God, and thy life be not fuller of comfort, and hast it not readier by thee at a dying hour: then cast away joy these directions, and exclaim against me for ever as a deceiver." - Richard Baxter Quoted in "Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian LIFE" by Donald S. Whitney pg. 63
To paraphrase, if you meditate on scripture and you don't become a better Christian, and enjoy being a Christian more, then something isn't right. Or, if you're bored with your spiritual life, start meditating on scripture and watch God work in your life and make it dynamic again.

| Verge of PanicIn 6 days I will be leaving behind all I have ever really known and will be stepping into the void. Trusting God that everything will work out ok. I've been packing a lot the past two days and going through my room (thanks sis, you've been a huge help). I've never really moved out of my parents place. And for the first time I move out to be moving to another continent on the other side of the ocean has me a little weirded out. The language and culture of the country to which I'm going is completely different than what I'm used to. I'll be walking everywhere, not driving. I'll be having a profound impact on the lives of the kids I'll be teaching. The only question is whether the impact will be good or bad. The down side is that I'll never really know for sure until 10 years from now, when they start impacting others. This is the scariest thing I have ever done... and I'm already signed up for two years. I know that God is faithful and will see me through. I know that I'll stick my foot into my mouth numerous times, have many bad days, go into culture shock, and all other kinds of stuff. The only thing I have going for me is that the God I serve is bigger than any mistake(s) I could make and will use this to further His Kingdom. So regardless what happens to me, God wins. God is bigger than my panic. the end
